This program will help you avoid unnecessary college debt and help your child find a career they would love by helping them determine a career path that fits them in accordance to their wiring while in high school. As they progress through the Navigator Trails with their class, they will be sending you their reflection ticket responses by email, so you can play your role in this process. Please provide them with the parent email you most prefer.
As an archer you will be receiving your students responses to each of the career exploration units. They will have 6 activities per unit. They will be watching videos and answering questions. You can watch the videos with them as well and look over the activities if you are in their google classroom.
On this journey you have an important role to play. It is one of an archer. An archer is a person who shoots with a bow and arrow, especially at a target. We want to give you as many tools as possible to help point them in the right direction according to how they are uniquely created.
Therefore, we want to encourage you to stay connected to them as they move through these units. Some of the activities in these units are self-discovery activities. Others are career exploration activities and the process as a whole is to develop their capacity to learn. They will be sending all their answers to your email
The will be watching videos and completing six activities every week. They will be answering questions over the videos, conducting their own career exploration research, and participating in activities in line with personal growth and community involvement.
We are aware that not all students have highly developed communication skills so we are hoping you will take this as an opportunity to help them in the development of those skills. As you look over some of your son/daughter responses, discuss with them some of the results seeking to understand your child's uniqueness. Also, as you see their interests develop in various careers be looking for opportunities to help them develop transferable skill sets that will be helpful them throughout their life.
