This course is designed for Freshmen with Senior Mentors. Senior Mentors are taught to invest, empathize and care for students in family groups, increasing hope scale scores. This course meets ICAP requirements and Financial Literacy Standards. Personal growth and self-discovery lead to an independent career path.
Come explore the world around. Sherpas give guidance through their areas of expertise leading to a better understanding of life. Each unit is teacher, student and parent friendly! This course could work in a large or small group, as an individual study, in a hybrid classroom or distant learning. EA lifts the burden!
Lesson plans and google activities have been prepared in a google classroom for teachers ease of use and on boarding.
Each unit includes a parent newsletter and two reflection tickets empowering parents to discuss careers with their child and monitor their child's interests. This system increases communication between parent, student and school which is a requirement of the ICAP.
EA goes behind the scenes to see what information is required in the field of study pointing to the relevancy of education and course work which is part of the ICAP.
The curriculum is focused on people of interest to students with a regional bent. It also reveals what is going on in Oklahoma and the world around. Each story is unique and brings forth different understandings needed in life. Skills and knowledge are acquired and checked for understanding regarding each industry throughout the process of completing each unit. The students are given inspiration, guidance and support to take the next step following their proven interests.
