This first grader is thriving in all areas!
It is a win/win for everyone involved. According to research, there will be a portion of students who will not return to school next year. Education Alive At Home Service gives parents and/or schools a reliable option! If schools choose, they can maintain enrollment of students whose parents are committed to educating them at home. The reasonable cost of the program enables the school to maintain some of the per pupil money and reduce classroom size lightening the load of the teacher and meeting the needs of the students. Parents can ask their school district to use our services, if they are not wanting to use our services, the parent can sill do our program without being enrolled in their school.
EducationALIVE @Home edition uses multi-sensory materials across all curriculums to help kids take-off in their learning. Math is taught according to algebraic reasoning even in the beginning levels ensuring a firm foundation by which word problems and application is a breeze.
Writing is taught in congruence with reading, speaking and listening allowing for the development of the mind and the soul of the child.
Our teachers are trained in this type of model with these kinds of materials. They guide students and their parents in accordance to their area of experience and expertise. So, for example, teachers who are reading experts and love to teach kids to read are placed with emerging readers. This works well for the teacher, student and parent.
Teachers have a variety of systems in place to create community for the students and parents.
This program empowers family literacy and relationships.
The curriculum meets state standards.
According to the Oklahoma State Department of Education, EA's Oklahoma certified teacher allows for schools to enroll students at their site, but not have to oversee them. This has the potential to help teachers with their heavy load in the brick and mortar building.
The learning system and materials include synchronous and asynchronous learning. In this way, there is both real interaction with other people and self-paced independent learning making for a great take-off into the real world.
EA @Home makes for a great launching pad!

In your professional opinion, what was your experience with EducationALIVE @Home Edition?
"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."

"This was the best decision for our family. It has been wonderful having actual learning materials to work with as opposed to the fully virtual screen time that other students in our district are experiencing."
- Bethanie Willson, Parent (Pilot Program)
By the end of Last Spring with the onset of Covid-19, the frustration in Ella, an emerging reader, was visible and manifested itself in many ways. School was not working for this kindergartner. She had lost all interest in reading and her remote option was full of frustration! Ella had grown to not like school and the more her parents pushed the more frustrated she became.
This was the beginning of @Home Edition. How could EA help Ella and her family enjoy learning again and become a great reader? Working with Ella's family and several others, the EA Team put a system in place with strategic materials that turned Ella's experience around. Ella now loves learning and is thriving becoming more independent in her learning everyday.
